howwwzattt... of the journey within continues...

2130hrs, 10 OCT. 2015

Not feeling in the mood this evening, so I just come down to the bar to read Tony Parsons' Man and Boy while watching Rugby World Cup 2015, England vs Uruguay on tv and writing this at the same time.

Finished off early today and took the opportunity to go to town. Got myself a Jack Wolfskin's fleece since the temperature is getting colder on altenate days. It is quite expensive taking consideration that Jack Wolfskin was originated from Germany but I don't mind spending on quality that comes with the brand itself.

This is the fleece that I bought, tried it in the open air just now and it is warmer than my Sacoor down jacket and much more lighter. At least it was a good investment as of now.

Heard that I might be staying here until the mid of December and that is trouble. I didn't prepare for the weather and if I keep on buying this kind of stuff just for me to keep me warm, I might be ended up paying on the extra baggage on my return back to KUL.

By the way, I treat my blog as a journal, my journal. To keep me in touch with what I'm doing and where I'm going or been to. At the same time it might help for those fellow travelers on new places. I wrote universally, not just on one single topic such as politic or family. Who knows, someday it will publish as a book no?

I'm not a traveler. I'm a journeyman...

howwwzattt... of misty day... not haze...

1855hrs, 8 OCT. 2015.

Started off on the morning shift today and finished off quite late due to struggling with a defective tool from Toulouse. Actually it was a pipe cutter because we are doing some modification on the flaptrack area. Need to cut 3 of the hydraulic lines to accommodate the modification and later will connect it back by way of permaswage repair.

I didn't sleep last night. No, I can't sleep last night. Must have dozed off somewhere around 5am and woke up an hour later when the alarm rang. Channel browsing a few minutes somewhere around 2am, came across an X channel kind of like a Smartshop program full of advertisements and phone numbers with live model showing off their small/medium/large boobies with compromising positions but carefully choreographed so that the little thing down under won't be in view. By the way, it was purely educational.

Well, frankly it gave more "sakit kepala" to me and I just switched it off.

Posing with our nifty Fiesta outside the EFW Hangar.

Today is a very misty day in Dresden with the average temperature of 11 centigrade and in another week of so, snow will start to fall in certain part of Dresden according to the weather channel. I hope not where I'm staying or work.

Couldn't wait to get back to my room so that I can go online so that I can read some interesting news back home. I didn't find myself a local number since I'm using the company provided phone, though it is a 4G but I didn't turn on the data roaming, using it only for calls.

On the way back trying to look for a place to tapau some food.

This is the meal supposedly for dinner and the lunch that I missed earlier. Kebab with fries and some greens with purple colored vegetable that I do not know what it was called in English, dalam cakap Melayu pun tak tau jugak.

Well, those news were still like this morning before I left for work, nothing promising so far...

P.S. Ringgit is steeply climbing against the Euro and USD...

howwwzattt... of how your emotion takes over you...

2311hrs, 5 OCT. 2015.

Finished of early today, just sit there in the beer garden browsing the great WWW of news from Malaysia and still the same 'ol same 'ol.  Nah, I'm not in my right state of mind for the moment, something has been bothering me since I got connected, obviously about you or us. I miss you...

Received this once I got connected just now, a copy and paste of the alert sent to me in my mailbox. Feel free for your reading pleasure for I'm too exhausted to elaborate more. We have PERKASA  and PEKIDA, they have PEGIDA.

I tried to attach my croaky voice here on Tersendiri, but I guess it was so bad and horrible that there is no option for me to do it. Remember baby, Jack of all trade but a master of none. Guess you'll never hear me sings when I'm sober...

Night my moonbeam... my Precious Poem... I'm listening to Kuintai Cinta Dalam Rahsia now...

Germany: Urban centres: Avoid anti-immigration rallies, counter-demonstrations due to risk of unrest
Members should avoid all rallies organised by the nativist Patriotic Europeans against the Islamisation of the West (PEGIDA) and associate groups, due to the risk of localised unrest. Highlighting this, rioting on 28 September occurred during a PEGIDA rally in Leipzig (Saxony state), with demonstrators physically assaulting two journalists.
Details of forthcoming protests, which come amid a record influx of refugees, are as follows (all times local):
5 October (anti-immigration demonstrations)
7 October (counter-demonstration)
Travel Briefing
PEGIDA rallies are often met by counter-demonstrations by leftist and anti-fascist groups, and violence between participants and police officers is likely. Clashes broke out on 12 September in Hamburg (Hamburg state) between the police and leftist demonstrators who gathered in anticipation of an anti-immigration rally at the city's main railway station, prompting its temporary closure. Disturbances were also reported on the day around the main railway station in Bremen (Bremen state).
Increased anti-immigration sentiment has become more apparent in recent months, and has fuelled unrest at related protests and attacks on venues hosting refugees, particularly in Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, North Rhine-Westphalia, Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt states. Arson attacks on accommodation and physical assaults on refugees continue to pose incidental risks to visitors, particularly when they occur in central locations.
The authorities have so far been able to handle the logistics of processing and resettling refugees smoothly. However, an unprecedented influx of refugees to Munich on 12 September prompted the government to reinstate border controls. In a related incident, Deutsche Bahn on 22 September announced that rail services between Munich (Germany) and Budapest (Hungary) via Salzburg (Austria) would be halted until 4 October.
Travel Advice Summary
  • Avoid all anti-immigration demonstrations due to the risk of localised disturbances between rival activists, or between demonstrators and the authorities. Any such unrest is likely to be swiftly contained by the police.
  • Areas in the vicinity of refugee accommodation are likely targets for far-right groups. Liaise with local contacts for information on the locations of such sites and plan routes to avoid them.
  • We do not hold information on train schedules. If undertaking overland travel, reconfirm the feasibility of journeys including the status of border posts and key roads, as well as the availability of rail services with Deutsche Bahn.

howwwzattt... of war and sharing the world peacefully...

1726hrs, 3 OCT. 2015

Got off early from work today, took my shower and straight away come down to the terrace starting on a new book. Someone gave it to be before leaving for Dresden and honestly, I don't know what expect from it but I believed it must've been interesting since the person bought it in the first place.

Whenever I was in the lounge with my European colleagues and whenever Al-Jazeera broke the news on tv about bombing in Syria or someplace in the middle east, they will ask me on why did Muslims like to fight and go to war with each other? Frankly, I was prepared with this kind of question to say the least.

Well, it was never a Muslim thing I said, it was more of the race itself. The Arabs were known to be a rough lots, they will pick anything just for the sake of fighting among themselves. Even during the Hajj, they'll step over your head so that they can get a better place to "see" God. They love confrontations.

As for me, it is a matter between me and Allah the most merciful for I'm not a hypocrite.

So, here it goes, NARCOPOLIS by Jeet Thayil...

"If heroin could write, this would be its novel. Long, intoxicating sentences weave like opium smoke into the story of Dimple - a streetwise prostitute in a Seventies Bombay opium den. Read in horror as the city quietly sows the seeds of heartbreak into its drug-addicted citizens' lives." - Stylist

howwwzattt... of the transition of yourself and going overboard about it...

0948hrs, 3 OCT. 2015

Bigots come in all shapes and sizes. They can also come in form of your local celebrity. That was the first line from Malaysia Chronicle regarding how racist could it be when one says about "our people and their people".

Read here from Malaysia Chronicle if you've not to come to know about it yet.

Abby Abadi or Arbaiyah Abdul Manan should have just walk out the Secret Recipe outlet once she felt that the Halal status of the outlet is in question. It is called was-was and in Islam it was a whisper from the devil to make you to feel inferior, incapable of doing things.

Now, back to our people and their people. I can imagine that when she walked inside the outlet to buy a birthday cake for her children saw tudung clad girls manning the counter assuming "aaaa orang kita". Later I can imagine her asking those girls, "Sapa tokeh?", and was told that it was "their people" by those girls. By this time she has already had this impression of questionable Halal status in her mind.

Instead of cancelling the order, she brings the cake back home and eat it with the family and later posted the photos of cake eating on her Instagram, Twitter, Swarm and I guess her FB too. After that she decided to post about the Halal status and "our people, their people" things.

What the fucking fuck? You have a choice of not having it and yet you downed it down your throat and then you make a big fuss out of it.

I wonder how she survive when travelling abroad. It is always "their people" preparing the foods with no Halal certification issued by JAKIM.

Islam has never been a difficult religion for its followers. Thus, the presence of religion is to provide convenience and a way out of difficulties. Therefore, this kind of attitude tends to exaggerate and complicate themselves in religion is not allowed because it can generate anxiety. These are the reasons why the scholars opined that "was-was", worried, or sceptical were due to two things;

1. There is doubt as to the true teaching of the religion brought Prophet Muhammad SAW so the feeling of it need to be expanded.

2. Weak reasoning or lack of understanding towards the religion itself.

I'm not a preacher or a scholar of Islam. I too inherit Islam from those before me but I was given "akal dan fikiran" to reasoning things. It is not like if I were to into facebook created by a Jew, I myself will convert to Judaism. Same goes if I were to wave a Malaysian flag during Merdeka which happened to be made in China, made me less patriotic.

Do not put yourself as low as those red shirt kukudus or the "lempang" Pasir Salak MP. They were stupid ok?

So, just let me dine here in peace. The food was prepared by "their people", in this case Germans.

Islam itu memudahkan bukan untuk diberat-beratkan...

howwwzattt... of fulfilling one's desire...

Smoking in a toilet is such a fun, just like my days in Taiping years ago. The hotel doesn't let the guests to smoke inside their room but luckily the exhaust fan in here works. Unlike in Mexico, most of the time it didn't. I received a love letter from the hotel advising not to do it again, otherwise I'll be slapped with a USD250 fine for my misdeamenor.

Yes I know, smoking is bad for my health. It will be a bonus if I reach 60 in another 17 years. Still haven't outlived my arwah abah, he was 47 (and a chain smoker too) when he collapsed by the roadside where Super Kinta stood in those days on the eve of Aidiladha 35 years ago, still holding several kilos of meat for rendang raya.

Yes I miss him. A great man yet simple.
