Ruler: Regard events as lesson

ARAU: After keeping his silence since polling day, the Raja of Perlis yesterday spoke frankly about the recent impasse over the state leadership.

Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail said the events leading to the appointment of the Perlis menteri besar should be regarded as a lesson for future events."Now, that matter has become history. We cannot change the past. "But I hope in future, every government officer would hold closely and respect the constitution. "If not, the country and state would be in chaos," he said after witnessing the swearing-in of seven state executive council members in Istana Arau.

He was speaking off the cuff despite having a prepared text with him during the 11.30am ceremony. He said the events which led to the appointment of Datuk Dr Md Isa Sabu were out of the ordinary."In these past few days, there was an unusual event which occurred in Perlis. "It was a change in which the elected representatives and assemblymen did not give a vote of confidence for the previous menteri besar."This matter had confused the laymen. But for those who knew and understood the law, it was a simple matter." Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin said there were parties who took advantage of the supposed confusion over the matter."However, there were some who had used certain parties, including the newspapers, for their own benefit." He said the appointment of Md Isa was done according to Perlis' constitution, and was based on the constitutional monarchy principle.Md Isa was appointed on Monday. The ceremony was also witnessed by the Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, former state secretary Datuk Ismail Othman and state legal adviser Abdul Rasid Sudin. The Raja of Perlis thanked former menteri besar Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim and his previous exco members for leading the state government during the past four years. He advised the new executive councillors and assemblymen to fulfil their obligations as elected representatives of the people. On development, he urged the new state leadership to set up a think-tank for education and solve the people's problems. Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin would also seek help from Universiti Sains Malaysia, of which he is the chancellor, to develop the think-tank. - NST

...howwzattt when the mammoth roams...

The bookmark came with the ticket.

Yesterday I went to the Curve Damansara and before I know anything, I was sitting snuggly by the comfort of the Cathay’s cineleisure Cineplex. The movie? It was 10,000 BC. Frankly speaking, it was a rotten movie only appropriately rated as a popcorn movie. Since my dear blogger ex-seratas mirumi had given her brief review on the CJ7, now please bear my ranting on 10,000 BC.

Actually the whole movie doesn’t make sense at all apart from the CGI and even the CGIs are not that something to be proud of. The storyline, the plot and the sub-plot are loosely knitted. At the end of the movie our hero traveled far and wide to save his damsel and tribesmen from the baddies and along the way many followed him in his quest to the “head of the snake”.

The baddies territory was a crossover between the pharaoh’s era and the Dalai Lama Tibetan community; I’m not sure whether they do interconnected during that period.

Anyway between the scales of 1 to 5, I’m giving it a 2 (my standard).

p.s. Was wondering how did they managed to have a glistering teeth during the period lol…

...howwwzattt... you've gone overboard mate...

“The Raja Perlis has consented to the appointment of Bintong assemblyman Datuk Dr. Md. Isa Sabu as the new MB of Perlis replacing Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim who still claimed that he had the PM authority to continue as MB but that the Ruler has ignore it”. This piece was taken from a credible alternative media this evening.

I’m not an expert in constitution matters nor hold credential over the subject but as a loyal citizen to the Sultans and the country (the second Rukunegara); I was appalled by the bold statement. Is this the first battle cry by this ex-MB or whoever that makes the statement? Wasn’t this an act of treachery (derhaka) towards the Raja of Perlis himself? An out of favor ex-MB, an anak Perlis and a Malay for this kind of act questioning the prerogative and the wisdom of your Ruler is purely outrageous for any standard. When one of the DAP stalwarts urging Perak DAP to boycott the swearing in the new Perak MB from PAS, he got fucked left and right by BN led pros, Malaysian and even from his own party members for disregard the wish of the Sultan and Regent of Perak in appointing the MB. A day later, he retracts back his statement after the outbreak of the public anger. He made a mistake of course. As of this piece being written, I’ve yet to hear the UMNO voice over this matter, I’ve yet to hear the UMNO voice defending the decision made by the wise Raja of Perlis. I’ve yet to hear an explanation from the soon to be retired PM over the issue. The ousted MB even had the nerve to regard the new UMNO MB as an opposition. Opposition to whom may I ask? To the Ruler, to the state of Perlis, to UMNO itself or to him? Who is this loose cannon anyway? Where are the UMNO’s keris weaving panglima anyway which at one time wanted to soaked his keris with Chinese blood? Why not just soaked your keris with the blood of this SOB or just blow this guy with C4 to pieces? Wasn’t it as an MB, your priorities are toward the Ruler and state rather than you party?

In the olden days this kind of conduct will be met by a capital punishment which is death. The person who’s committing it no matter how high his stature in the society will be beheaded. Even his entire family or clan will be banished from the mukabumi. Even the earth from where his house once stood would be thrown into the sea (I don’t know how they did it) but that’s how serious it is.

As the saying goes “Do not overstayed your welcome”…

...howwwzattt... may the force be with you...

Sunday, 9th Mac

“Follow the Moskva down to Gorky Park
Listening to the wind of change…”

Well, that was the first line from the hit song Wind of Change by Scorpions. It is not a surprise to me that the wind of change had finally made it presence felt throughout the nation ever since we were introduce with this Demokrasi Berparlimen some 50 years ago. But for this 12th GE, my view is; that it is no more a mere normal wind. The wind had morphed into a tsunami and this tsunami had swept across the entire nation.

This is the third time I’m practicing my right and role as a Malaysian citizen in casting my vote against those I despise (politically that is). I arrived a the polling station Sekolah Kebangsaan Kampung Subang which caters for P107 Subang and N39 Kota Damansara somewhere around 10 o’clock and within less than 5 minutes I’ve done my rights. Not many were there during the morning; perhaps more are getting there during the noon. All are quite and things running smoothly. Along the way lead up to the centre there were plenty of these BN makeshift stations if compared to the others. Anyway it is not how many khemah or how much money splashed, its just a plain simple that the RAKYAT had spoken. 5 states had fallen; Kedah, Penang, Perak, Selangor and of course Kelantan to the opposition known as Barisan Rakyat.

Many political giants also had lost their seats simply because they’re no more relevant to the need of the people such as Shahrizat, Awang Adek, Aziz Samsudin, Zainudin Maidin, Koh Tsu Koon and not to mention our “beloved” arrogant Minister of Toll who’s celebrating his 72nd birthday in defeat I think.

To those who got elected, don’t get carried away with your new winning. Remember that you’re representing the Malaysian people and you’re being paid with our money in doing that, not for free!!!

...howwwzattt for MAKKAL SAKHTI...

It has been quite a while since I last made an entry in this blog and I apologize to the dearest reader my sincere regret over the writer’s block that had taken its toll over me. During my drive to work just now, there were plenty of issues popping up and all of a sudden lighted up my bulb.

ON INTEREST:

Yeahyeahyeah I did read my fellow cricket entry on the match against UKM Cricket, I played also what. We won in a very dramatic way it seems (hmm… if only I were given a chance to bowl…), who knows perhaps we’ve won comfortably. Anyway congratulation to my fellow cricketer for his 2 wickets and surely his palm still sore from the run-out. I’ve batted one down for the match and still regretting for the early exit but even Sachin Tendulkar got a duck occasionally, don’t you agree? Anyway I managed to faced 4 balls and gather 4 runs from the over. The first stroke was a pulled shot when the ball came pacing full toss towards my bodyline and luckily it didn’t hit my jaw as I did not wear my helmet that day and I got 2 for that. The second one was more calculated and timed beautifully as I open the face of the bat and drive the ball into the air marvelously towards the long-off but missed the boundary a feet or so hence the slow outfield. I think it was a textbook shot, don’t you agree hehehe…

After the match I went straight to the Kinrara Oval for the U-19 Cricket World Cup between India and South Africa. Syabas to the Indian youth for they had outplayed their opponent in lifting the trophy. It was such a brilliant game between the two and I tell you, anytime they can beat our senior team hands down. Meanwhile in Australia, the Indian senior team had beaten the reigning world champion yesterday in the best of three ODI. I remember reading somewhere that any team that could beat the Aussies is the Indian, it’s true what…

ON CURRENT ISSUE:

GENERAL ELECTION, what else maaa… I don’t know what got into me for the next 5 minutes after watching the Buletin Utama, there is this kind of unseen forces urging me to burn the tv set. BN here BN there, there aren’t any good and constructive news for the opposition. Come on; play on level field la…

First the SPR introduced the indelible ink which is imported from India and cost RM2.4 million for it to reach our shore but before it even distributed to the polling centre, a reverse decision was made of not using it because there were report on 4 individuals had purchased the ink on their own and this might spoil the transparency of the SPR so they said. Bollock, there goes RM2.4 millions of taxpayer money. Because of the U-turn decision, the SPR chairman’s house was splashed with red paint. Walauweiii… certain Ah Longs are getting edgy with you la Mr. Chairman, you better pay your outstanding debts la hahaha…

On suggestion of open debate, the minister of MITI said it was not our culture to follow the US presidential election. More on this she said it is better for us to debate with villagers and kampong folks on something that will benefit them. What a joke. From my understanding, no debating programme ever takes place during her tenure except for her making speech to the masses and a brief Q and A session. And why only for the villagers, not the city folks or perhaps villagers can only hear to her preaching in result of thinking too highly (an act of respect, not necessarily agreed) of her sampai nak bukak mulut pun segan.

Many of these old relics are feeling the heat such as this only Indian minister in the cabinet. Every Indian I’d met every Indian I’d knew, not a single one had said good things about him. Even when I mentioned about his effort erecting the tallest statue in Batu Cave, they retaliate back that it is not the statue that they want but a decent toilet that can be used during the Thaipusam festival and not relieving themselves behind bushes and longkangs. This remark shows how low the Indian community felt about him.

Well enough said about all the brouhahas, today is the day for we will cast our votes in the 12th GE. Kita berada di landasan yang betul, vote wisely for the future of our beloved country. As for me, I’m thirst for changes and I’m sure many of you out there are thinking alike.
